Aeon Plaza Hotels embarked on a journey to redefine hospitality by daring to be different, and by doing that we create an unforgettable experience. Established in 1996, the company began with the stewardship of Hotel Die Port van Cleve, a historic establishment that had been welcoming guests since 1870. Under Aeon's guidance, the hotel not only preserved its rich legacy but also embraced modern luxury, culminating in its 150th anniversary in 2021. This milestone was honored with the esteemed designation Royal Purveyor to the Court, recognizing its longstanding contribution to Dutch hospitality.

In 2003 breidde Aeon zijn visie uit door het Dutch Design Hotel Artemis van de grond af te bouwen, een indrukwekkende prestatie die zijn toewijding aan innovatie laat zien. Het hotel, gelegen in de zakenwijk Riekerpolder, opende zijn deuren in 2005 en biedt 256 kamers en een dynamische tentoonstellingsruimte die Dutch design viert. De unieke mix van zakelijke efficiëntie en artistieke flair trok een divers klantenbestand aan, van zakelijke reizigers tot designliefhebbers. Het hotel werd in 2024 verkocht en staat nu onder nieuw management.

The most recent chapter in Aeon's story unfolded in 2022 with the acquisition and transformation of Dutch Design Hotel Vondelpark. Located at the southern edge of Amsterdam's iconic Vondelpark, this 1915 building had previously served as the Kapittelhuis and Priesterhotel, providing residence to clergy members until 2000. Aeon's vision breathed new life into the property, resulting in a vibrant hotel that pays homage to Dutch design while offering modern comforts. The renovation was completed in 2023, introducing 42 uniquely designed rooms that reflect the company's commitment to innovation and cultural appreciation.
