(pre-opening) Operations Manager

 In the summer of 2023, Aeon Plaza Hotels will open its 3rd hotel in Amsterdam!

The building located at the Vondelpark is currently being completely renovated and you will find Dutch Design in all 42 hotel rooms.


From May/June 2023 we are looking for a (pre-opening) Operations Manager who wants to run this hotel as if it were his or her own hotel.


Guests are kindly welcomed & checked into this hotel, of course you have the most modern techniques at your disposal. In the morning breakfast is served, during the day guests can drink a cup of coffee in the breakfast room.

You like to give (mainly tourist) tips of the places to be in Amsterdam and restaurants, but you also like to learn this hospitable approach to your colleagues. As the person ultimately responsible for the operation of this hotel, you ensure that everything runs smoothly. Of course you will receive support from the Human Resources, Business Development, Accounting and Technical Services departments of Aeon Plaza Hotels.

Further tasks of the Operations Manager are:

  • Oversee short, medium and long term planning

  • Increasing and guaranteeing the desired service level

  • Budget responsible

  • Monitor compliance with procedures, issue instructions and take the initiative to improve these procedures and instructions

  • Proactively prevent and actively respond to possible incidents, complaints and calamities, in accordance with the guidelines of Aeon Plaza Hotels

  • Personnel policy; including monitoring personnel budget, recruitment & selection, personnel changes, review interviews

  • Ensure adequate internal control

  • The Operations Manager functions independently and reports directly to the Director of Operations of Aeon Plaza Hotels.

,Who are we looking for?

  • You have management experience, preferably with a background from rooms

  • You work independent and are pro-active and stress-resistant

  • You have a good knowledge of at least the Dutch and English language, several foreign languages is a plus.

  • A guest-oriented attitude towards our guests and a coaching & motivating attitude towards our employees
