Hotel Die Port van Cleve is an authentic and historic Dutch hotel, located in a monumental building where Heineken once started its first brewery! The hotel has 122 rooms, Restaurant Hulsher's (world famous for its numbered steaks served since 1870, each with its own unique number), Bar and Bodega de Blauwe Parade (for gin and liqueur tastings, and much more) and the Brewery Club, a meeting capacity for 2-50 people. From the lobby to the rooms, signs of Delftware and Dutch history can be found in all shapes and forms.

  • A signing bonus of maximum €750,- gross

  • Non-sick bonus

  • Flexibility bonus

  • Night allowance of 20%

  • All overtime in time for time, extra days worked will be paid on request

  • A compensation of €25,- per month for a company fitness subscription in one of the many fitness centers affiliated with Bedrijfsfitness Nederland

  • Up to €500,- referral bonus when introducing a new colleague

  • Work sneaker/safety shoe allowance worth a maximum of €50 per year

  • A SWAP bicycle or travel allowance of €0.21 per km based on commuting from > 5 km with a maximum of 250,- euros per month.

What is important to know about this feature?

The team consists of a Front Office Manager, Assistant FO Manager, (night) receptionists, and interns. You and the team are the first point of contact for our guests. You support the Front Office Manager in coordinating the activities within the department and you are jointly responsible for the introduction, training and coaching of the employees. You identify where improvements can still be made in working methods/procedures and you come up with a plan for this. You also ensure that all Front Office activities are carried out in accordance with the guidelines and you increase and guarantee the desired service level. Of course you also carry out all common reception activities yourself. The Front Office Manager is your coach and helps you to develop further.

Who are we looking for?

  • You speak English, Dutch is an advantage, but not a must.

  • Knowledge of a hotel reservation system is an advantage, we work with Protel.

  • You have a sense of responsibility, are proactive and stress resistant.

  • You work independently and take initiatives.

  • You are flexible, collegial and guest-oriented; you have the desire to provide optimal service, sometimes this is custom work.
